Gallery Munro House, Leeds Margaret thatcher cartoon drawings

Thatcher exhibition I grew up hearing my parents and their friends talking about Thatcherism, and this discussion continues as her legacy continues to be relevant today, particularly as we have a conservative government. Agendas of privatisation and cuts in public services/pensions etc. When I saw this exhibition was on last year I had to go and see it. I love the work of political cartoonists, and Thatcher and what she stood for was a great subject for them of course. Though this is not the kind of art I am interested in creating, I love this kind of art as a punter, it shows how art is a great communicator, so much can be shown with a clever hand and an eye for caricature!
